Terms & Conditions – SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC
Work Rules
The following Work Rules have been implemented by SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC. These Work Rules are in accordance with rules and regulations established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Accidents
- Major preventable accident after full investigation: Termination of employment.
- Minor preventable accident after full investigation (See Notes # 1):

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Conviction of a moving violation that results in a fatality: Termination of employment.
- Failure to report any/all accidents, personal injury, spillage or contamination: Termination of employment.
Equipment
- Failure to report mechanically defective condition of equipment on a daily vehicle inspection report:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle: Termination of employment.
- Failure to report breakdowns promptly:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Deliberate or willful damage to Equipment: Termination of employment and reimbursement of damaged equipment.
- Failure to keep Periodic (annual) inspection current: Unit is parked (No dispatch).
- Failure to perform and/or submit vehicles (truck and trailer) Monthly Maintenance Reports:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand, $100.00 fine and no dispatch.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Failure to perform and/or submit scheduled PM (truck and trailer) when due:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand, $100.00 fine and no dispatch.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
Conduct
- Use or possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, in vehicle, or on company property: Termination of employment.
- Evidence of drinking prior to reporting for duty, within FMCSA limits: Termination of employment.
- Testing positive for any controlled substance or alcohol: Termination of employment.
- Discourtesy to customers:

- 1st occurrence: Subject to discharge.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Theft: Termination of employment and reimbursement of stolen equipment/belongings.
- Failure to follow orders of dispatch, supervisor, or safety department:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Ticket for reckless driving, texting/handheld phone, erratic lane changes, following too closely, speeding 6+ mph: Termination and $1,500 fine.
- Ticket for non-serious moving violation (speeding <6 mph, improper turn, lane restriction, traffic device):

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand and $300 per violation up to $600 per inspection.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Violating an out-of-service order: Termination and $1,000 fine.
- Filing a false employment application: Termination.
- Leaving equipment unattended when loading/unloading:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Failure to complete all reports, trip sheets, DVIR, or forward logs within FMCSA-mandated 13 days:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand, $50 fine and no dispatch.

- 2nd occurrence: Termination.
- Out-of-service order (Driver):

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand and $1,000 fine.

- 2nd occurrence: $1,500 fine.

- 3rd occurrence: $2,000 fine and Termination.
- Non OOS violation of HOS rules (11, 14, 70 hrs, false logs, 30-min break, form/manner):

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand and $300 per violation up to $600 per inspection.

- 2nd occurrence: $600 penalty per violation.

- 3rd occurrence: $1,000 penalty and Termination.
- ELD non-compliance: $500 penalty per occurrence + 1 day no dispatch.
- Unauthorized passenger(s): Termination.
- Repeated HOS violations (>10% in a month): progressive fines → Termination.
- Failure to notify Safety when placed Out-of-Service: Termination.
- Using/equipping CMV with radar detector: Termination.
- Vehicle roadside OOS:

- 1st occurrence: Reprimand and $1,000 penalty.

- 2nd occurrence: $1,000 penalty + 1 day no dispatch.

- 3rd occurrence: $1,500 penalty + Termination.
- Non OOS violations from roadside inspection (vehicle): $300 fine per violation up to $600 per inspection.
- Failure to forward roadside inspection reports: Termination.
- Canceling booked load without valid shop receipt: progressive penalties ($300 → $500 + no dispatch →
$1,000 + Termination).
Notes
- Minor preventable accident = ≤ $20,000 damage total.
- Occurrences reset after 365 days (180 for HOS violations).
- SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC monitors FMCSA Roadside Inspections daily.
- Reprimand = written warning.
- Carrier reserves right to amend these rules at any time.
Terms and Conditions for Receiving SMS (Text Messages)
SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC uses text messages to communicate with truck drivers working for us. Communication with customers is strictly done via email and phone calls. SMS messages are used to:
- Get updates from drivers about location and load status
- Provide dispatch instructions
- Inform drivers of roadside inspections, safety notices, or work-related updates
Consent
SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC requires your consent to send SMS messages. Consent is obtained verbally or in writing during onboarding. By giving consent, you agree to the following:
- (A)By providing your phone number, you authorize SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC (or a third-party vendor on our behalf) to send SMS to your mobile device.
- (1)Job Application/Onboarding Text Messages – By providing your number on your job application:

- No Limit: You may receive unlimited onboarding/job-related texts. Frequency varies.

- (B)You represent you are the lawful owner of the phone/device receiving texts. Notify us immediately if your contact changes.

- (D)Standard message/data rates may apply.
- (E)You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC against any claims related to text messaging services.
- (F)Custom-branded domain URL shorteners are permitted; public shorteners (bitly, tinyurl) are prohibited.
- (G)Only company-registered domains may be used (no free domains like Gmail or Outlook).
SPL Strong Purple Logistics LLC will never sell or share your opt-in data or phone number for marketing purposes.
